Heh it's time for some update again since I'm not going out tonight. Haha I'm trying to update as frequent as possible to keep this blog alive :)

Okay went back to Singapore two weeks ago with Keven. Met up with Seow once we reached there.

First Stop: Singapore Polytechnic

It was really excited to come back to school after being out for 4months! Brought Keven to visit our business school while waiting for Seow. Nothing much happened here, so yea skip.

Second Stop: Orchard

My second home in Singapore. Shopping Heaven!

Haha luckily I've friends to keep me company while waiting for my degree intake in September. Can't survive without shopping . HAHAHA

Had bak kut teh as our lunch at Ion Orchard. Not nice at all, I prefer Mei Hua Li bat kut teh (just beside BATA, Taman Flora).

Dessert: My favourite Hokkaido Ice-Cream, Sesame favor! Forced this guy to try some new favors! He wanted to buy VANILLA favor you know! =.=

This haolian rich guy went to wash his hair at super pricey orchard hair saloon while I were busy shopping. =.= I was like, wtf you sure you wanna spend so much for 30mins hair wash and massage? hahaha

Heh guess what I got on that day? I'm totally broke after getting it!

Hint: Look at the paper bags between us!! haha

Die-die-must-go if you get the chance to visit Singapore. Okay I know I'm a bit sua ku because this was my first time to visit MBS. Yaya stayed here for 3years but never been there before? Shoot me! haha

Hey there it's been a long time I didn't update with a proper post. Time passes real soon, and here come the end of July! Anyway I'm no longer emo or whatsoever. Even thou there are many things happened lately but I've ready to move on. Hi there sorry for lack of updates. I don't know what is going on but I've been so overly emotional lately. I feel like chewing people out! Okay fine, I know I should stop complaining about things in my life and be content but my life seems really empty and MEANINGLESS and there are so many problems out there waiting for me to be solved. wtf wtf wtf wtf wtf.

Back to the topic. LUNAR NEW YEAR (I know I'm slow)

3days before Lunar New Year

Gained lots of pounds during new year. Sigh I can't resists all the cookies and snack!

Went to sing karaoke with big brother and sister.

2days before Lunar New Year

(Sorry sis!!! HAHAHAHA)

Every year we'll go back to dad's hometown in Malacca to celebrate chinese new year. Before reaching Malacca, we actually stopped by in Tangkak to have Monster Beef Meal. The name of the meal is really true, which is what the boss mentioned. He couldn't stop bragging about his cooking skill and said if you can find any better beef, tell him and he will fly there. Crazy~

We even called the restaurant one day earlier just to book the beef as the chef only serves the monster beef meal to the close customers. Dad tried the dishes before that's why we got the chance to become one of the VVIP of the restaurant.

Super bue tahan the chef keep bragging about himself.

The beef is mixed of meat and internal organ. Yukes me and sis don't like.

Mixed of meat and internal organ again, but with some soup. I prefer this because the 'fu zuk' taste really nice!!

Bone with soup and I shall say it's FANTASTIC!!! The soup is very sweet and the aroma of beef isssssss very tempting. Instead of adding ajinamoto, the chef uses yellow bean to boil the soup.

I like this the most! Steam beef with onion leaves only. It's a very simple dish. The soup is abit tasteless, but the aroma of beef which is brought out by the soup is just amazing. Such a simple dish impressed me. Besides, the beef is sooooo soft until you feel like every slices of meat melt inside your mouth. Those who dont like the strong taste of beef, should really try this!

Lunar New Year's Eve

Finally I got to meet up my baby brother who has been away to Japan for one month then once he came back, he entered NS in Malacca. In the morning, the whole family went to Ayer Keroh camp site to pick up my baby brother who has been long waited us since 6am. He called mom at 530am saying that they can leave already. He can't wait to go back kampong! Actually we had already returned to Machap Baru one night before so that on the next day, we can go and find bro on time. Who knows his time has been pushed forward alot!

Reunion dinner. I miss the food in Malacca.

Dad's hometown, Machap Baru is a kampong place. Every year there will have some performances and fireworks countdown show at the padang(field). So my uncle bought some toys from the factory and asked us to sell them on the new year's eve. We all agreed since there's nothing to do at home. It's a pretty good and unforgettable experince for being a hawker.

2nd day of Lunar New Year

We seldom meet my mom's side relatives. Usually every 2nd day of cny, we will go to granny's house in Masjid Tanah to gather. This year, something different happened. One of my uncle, dig out all the old pictures and showed everyone. Hmmm old people is more nostalgic as you can see spark in their eyes when they look at their youth pics. **Sis please forgive me!!! HAHAHAHA

In year 2011, my mom looks like this. err so much OLDER!! HAHAHAHAH. I have another aunty but she is in Australia now.

In the same day, we went to visit my dad's godmother and aunt in Malacca town.

Night time: GAMBLE TIME. Hahaha I'm kinda ONG this year and won a lot of money!! Even my mom joined us for the games this year. Ehem ehem because my dad went out with his friend and there was no one there to stop her. Ended up my mom and sister lost a lot and started to borrow money from me. HAHAHA

3rd day of Lunar New Year

Balik ke Batu Pahat.

We had McDonald as our dinner because we were sick of chinese food!!

Tada~! Daoraemon!! The middle one is the one I got on that night. Dad and mom went to have mcd again after I went back to spore just because I want to collect all of them. Well in the end I got three out of five of them because I'm no longer into them. hahaha I'm proud to be a spoilt brat.

2nd Stop: Mandi-mandi @ Tamarind Springs, Ampang.

It's my 21st birthday dinner and I want to make it special and fit into everyone’s taste, I’ve chosen this thai restaurant, Mandi mandi at Tamarind Springs that we never been before. I heard lots of positive reviews on this place and it offers the most romantic dining atmosphere, so I decided to give it a try.

Tamarind Springs is a great place to have a simple getaway with your loved one, family and friends.

All of us were overwhelmed when we walked into a path of tiny candles entrance all the way to the table I reserved. It's damn romantic. I'll definitely say 'YES' if my boyfriend propose to me here. wtf.

Hardly to see the restaurant from the main road as the entrance is more like a red stone wall.

I've totally no idea why my gucci bag looked like those cheapo shopping bag in this pic wtf.

We were guided by the candles that glowed the pathway.

The food came very fast and they tasted good, but they were a bit too salty and spicy for me. I guess it's the ambience that we paid for. Anyway it's really a good dining experience to be having such pleasant feel out from the busy city and the cool breeze.

Birthday Celebration Part 1

O.M.G I'm 21 now!! I'm officially an adult!! How I wish I could stay 21 forever!! :( Heh skip school has been a tradition on every year of my birthday. So yea, skipped my thursday, friday lesson and all the way flew to Kuala Lumpur with Joanne.

1st Stop: POCO homemade Cafe &Atelier

It's a vintage Japanese cafe located on Lorong Kurau, Bangsar. Joanne and I saw a alot of write-up on this place and felt it would be a great place for lunch but end up kinda disappointed with the food they served. The menu is very limited, not many choices available, just some simple, home-cooked Japanese style rice/noodles with some appetizers to select from.

Remember this unique design outside of the restaurant if you wanna go there so that you can identify the shop from the outside. It is very hard to be seen because it located inside the residential area in Bangsar.

The ambiance of the cafe is warm with some simple vintage style decoration.

They print their menu on cloths like these. Lovely.

They sell their handmade brooches too but they're kinda pricey.

Fairytale (Mango plus Vanilla). Many bloggers recommended this drink but seriously their drink--->shit.

Tasted like cough syrup. Yukes.

Chicken Katsu Chop and Rice with Curry (RM 14.80). So-so only.

Soba Noodle Soup with Fish Katsu (RM13.8).

It was a rainy day and we didn't bring our umbrella. Bad luck huh? But thank God for the super nice ladyboss for lending us the umbrella.

Our last day here and we went to Pavilion. Our "must-go" shopping mall and our hotel just beside it.

It's damn cool to stay at Fahrenheit 88, I mean the hotel upstair, not the mall. Haha so convenient. :D

AMAZING TOPSHOP SALES on that day. 10% futher discount after 50%-70% discount. OMG!!!!

Bought a lot of stuffs there! Thanks daddy!!! You're awesome!!!

10th Stop: Famous Yong Tou Fu @ Madras Lane, Petaling Street.

Wanted to bring my family to try out the famous Shin Kee Beef Noodles but it was closed on that day. So we ended up makan this Yong Tau Fu nearby there. Been eating this Yong Tau Fu since we were young.

How to get there:

There's a small and lesser used entrance next to Hotel Malaya and one along Jalan Tun HS Lee near the Chinese temple and there's one which leads to a carpark area which houses all the food stalls. The Yong Tau Foo stall has a rather long queue compared to the other stalls and also has people queuing for take-aways. Just ask the locals if you couldn't find the place. Don't miss out this delicous Yong Tau Fu!!

Remember to order their signature dish: SUPER SOFT TAUHU!!! Heh do not miss their opposite stall's 'CHEONG FUN' which has been advertised on tv and newspaper. RM 1.50 only. Damn SMOOTH!!!

This holiday, my family and I went to Shanghai. Seriously, it's not fun at all!!!

I'm not rich. I can fly in economy class only as it is all I can afford. But I think the next time I will try to sneak into the first class. hahaha. :)

Nice, well-designed Chinese restaurant with very polite personal waiters serving but the food-really not nice at all. Definitely not worth the price. :(

The Bund runs along the western bank of the Huangpu River, facing Pudong, in the eastern part of Huangpu District. The weather in that day was nice, windy and relaxing. I like the various style of buldings, the color, the design and the thoughts which delivered by the designers. I have a lot of friends although I don't see them much, I have some close best friends, I have amazing parents and siblings that I am close to and I have my lovely boyfriend. For no reason but I feel completely ALONE and empty. I have been struggling lately with my life and trying to figure out what I'm doing and if it's right for me. My life just feels sooooooo off. I just feel like I don't know how to explain how hollow, empty inside, like yes I'm here, yes I'm still alive but no I don't feel anything, like I'm in a coma and yet awake. The words people say to me just seem to fly over my head, nothing seems to stick. Just maybe a little irritation toward myself, I can solve all of everyone's problems except my own. I sit at home and stare at the ceiling thinking of how perfect I could have been, how happy I was when I was a little kid and how quickly I ruined my life and turned myself into what I am today. I wonder why, everything has gone so wrong. How everything must be my fault?

Could it just be the time in my life I need to get through? Am I doing something wrong? Hmm I guess the reason I'm posting is just that I feel so empty inside, I wonder what causes this, is there anything I can do about it, and why do I not feel the same.

Few months ago, I went to KL again.

Went to Garden Cafe @ One Utama to have our brunch together with my lovely Joanne.

For their drinks, is pretty okay nothing special but is rather expensive.

The presentation and style of cooking is pretty similar to Fullhouse but it is a mile better than the Fullhouse.

My order: Garden Black Pepper Chicken Chop. I am always a big fan of chicken chop. However, due to my weight issues, I cut down on chicken chops and steaks. The dish came with generous amount of black pepper gravy as well. The chicken was not too bad. Yet, I find the black pepper chicken lacked of black peppers. Slightly more would spice the taste up a bit.

Anne ordered the butter ginger dory fish. I thought it was lovely but Anne rated it as average only.

I guess lifestyle type of restaurant is popular nowadays.The entire restaurant was decorated with fake flowers and they are actually retail items with a price tag where you can buy.

Generally, I loved how they deco the cafe. The white theme with wooden furnishes and lovely flowers made this place an enjoyable place to dine. It's a good place to bring your better half to dine with once in a while, even an occasional birthday celebration is good too. Food was okay and set lunch goes from RM12.90---RM17.90.

After that, we went to Kayu Nasi Kandar to have our late dinner.

1m Roti Tissue!!!! The tallest roti tissue I have ever seen!! It’s crazy and mesmerising but all I can think is that there is a hell of a lot of roti coming toward our table. =.= Anyway, when it came time to eating this super tall roti, it had to be placed lying down on three plates. They added condensed milk and honey to the roti tissue. Must say the honey goes really well with the thin and crispy roti tissue.

Other than roti tissue, they serve very good nasi kandar. Though the food might be on the high end of price scale when it comes to mamak offering, the food is good, the environment is pretty clean, and the place is air conditioned with some huge TVs. I guess it’s worth it.

Last day in KL.

We went to Shin Kee Beef Noodles after mass on Sunday for their beef noodles. Not many people may know the name of the shop as most people I talk to merely know it as Petaling Street Beef Noodles.

This small corner shop is located along Jalan Tun Tan Cheng Lock, about a half block on your left from the entrance to Petaling Street. (Opposite Lai Foong Coffee Shop)

This is a photo of the cooking area - the place is clean and looks new.

Space inside the shop is very limited and if you go at lunch time between 12-1pm, be prepared to wait for a table to free up. Otherwise, go just slightly earlier or slightly later and it won’t be so crowded.

Last Sunday, my sis followed me back to Singapore. We went to Ichiban Sushi @ Bukit Panjang Plaza to have our late lunch. When it comes to sushi, I tend to frequent Sushi Tei, Ichiban Sushi is still very new to me, and I’m game to try it out.

KFC egg tart is available at only $1.30 per piece, $7.50 for half dozen/6pieces in a box.

I liked the crust a lot. It was crisp, light, and flaky without disintegrating too easily.
The egg custard wasn’t too sweet and had a faint caramelized fragrance. As you can see from the cross-sectioned tart, the custard wasn’t evenly smooth. But it tasted fine.

Oh yea, you can't find this AWESOME egg tart in Malaysia. Currently available in Singapore, Hong Kong, China and Taiwan outlets only.

I ordered Set 1 ($6.50) which consisted of a bowl of mee sua, a packet of crispy popcorn chicken, a tea egg and a cup of flower tea/black sugar milk tea.

This is the spiciest bowl of Mee Sua that I ever had. Look at the chilli, looks like the harmless chicken rice chilli that we normally have. But it is very very spicy as it has lots of tiny chilli seeds in it!!

Black sugar milk tea. I LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!!

Fried popcorn chicken had a nice fragrance. The blend of chicken and flour was just nice.Thumbs up!!!

This was my first time to have Dim Tai Fung in Malaysia.

Appetizers first. Vegetarian Delight in Special Vinegar Dressing. Each time I mention about Din Tai Fung to my friends, at least a couple of them will mention to me this particular appetizer which I should really try. I found the vegetarian delight to be a good mix of glass noodles, julienned bamboo shoots, sprouts and chillies. Its, shiny, slightly oily coating is probably what gives this humbe unpretentious dish its flavour and spiciness.

Cha Jiang La Mian, the famous hand-pulled noodles in Din Tai Fung. I was slurping them all away like a pure Japanese. The noodles were so springy and it goes perfectly well with the saucy minced meat!

And we tried this Ma Lat La Mian too.

Here comes the long-awaited dumplings~

Must order!!! I could really only feel the juice when the dumpling was in my mouth.

The unbiased opinion: Din Tai Fung is a great restaurant to go to. The food is delicious, the price is reasonable and the service has always been friendly and responsive. The choices other than the dumplings are all quite fantastic, especially things like the hand-pulled noodles, fried rice etc. So if dumplings don't suit you, you have tons of other great choices to enjoy!

Bye, I should study now but I'm so tired. Sigh I wish I had more time to prepare for my test. :(

Two weeks ago.
Outing with Miss Hong Shan Shan.
Somerset 313, Ion Orchard. (my favorite shopping area once again)

You might have seen the perpetual long queue for Takoyaki at Basement 4 Ion Orchard. But isn’t it just simple Tako Balls? So we took our stand to see what the whole fuss was all about.

Takoyaki, the well-liked Japanese dumpling snack first popularised at Osaka, has been around Singapore for some time (first being at Takashimaya, I think) but none has popularity like this one.

We ordered the Takoyaki and Matcha Float set. In case you are wondering why the boat container. Every thing has a purpose. The boat containers are made of Russian white pines which absorbs excess oil to prevent soggy takoyaki balls. There are even holes round the container to prevent condensation to cause mushy balls.Generous amount of Bonito flakes are added to the Takoyaki.

At first, we wanted to go Restaurant "Zu Lin" Bamboo for our dinner but Daddy suggested Restaurant Teck Sing as this restaurant also served paper wrapped herbal chicken. The food was good and although the place was very very crowded, we didn't really need to wait very long for them. Total cost of the dinner was only RM 29 for a satisfying meal!!!

Life Update.

My school reopens on 19th of this month and I'm so unprepared. Sigh!!! The break was hectic with time-consuming travel, but with school reopening, it will be definitely worse. The same schedule is back:

0600: I wake up (This is the worst part of the day.)

0700: I leave for school.

0800: The same boring day at school starts. (Except Tuesdays- Lesson starts at 0900.)

Noon: All the classes are over and it’s time to head home.

Noon/Evening: I’m at home, cook, eat, sleep, facebook, online, watch.

1800: Dinnertime. My favourite fruit + yogurt.

After 1900 (or whenever I’m done eating): Shitty homework, assignments, studies and everything else I hate. But sometimes I do manage to put in a little writing. And if I’m reading something really good, all the above goes in for a toss.

2300: I read, or write, or webcam, or come online if I can think of a valid excuse. (Computer project!! YEAH!!)

0100 (or whenever I’m sleepy- this ranges from 0100 to 0300): I sleep, duh!

KL Trip 2

Last Sunday, Joanne and I planned to meet at 11.45am but oops, overslept. So we reached Bangsar at around 2.30pm. We headed to an Indian restaurant in Bangsar, Restaurant Nirwana Maju Banan Leaf Rice, which I believe is one of the popular Banana Leaf restaurant here. Parking can be a hassle around Bangsar, but during the afternoon, it is not too bad. The restaurant is directly opposite the Bangsar Shopping Village. You can hardly miss it, as it always very crowded with people and, we had to wait for a table as it was fully packed.

And I've ordered the chicken briyani.

The rice and curry at Nirwana is as good as any that I’ve had, but the really special item here is one of their standard vegetable served that I haven’t come across anywhere else, deep fried eggplant (the reddish one). The crispy yet savory batter and the sweetness of eggplant is a combination that proved to be very addictive, I love it!

Overall I found this place to be quite alright, the food is good, service is fast. Thumbs up!!

The next morning (my last day in KL), met Shan Shan at Sri Petaling LRT station. At first, we were not sure if we need to go Pudu to buy bus ticket then go back to Bukit Jalil again to take bus, or we can straight away go to Bukit Jalil to buy bus ticket. So we've to take train all the way from Sri Petaling to Plaza Rakyat to check it out.

So yea, conclusion is north and south-bound travellers now have to take their buses at Bukit Jalil following the four-month closure of the Puduraya bus terminal. The Bukit Jalil Complex Parking Lot F, which serves as the new temporary site, only serves passengers headed north and south while east-bound travellers still have to board the bus at Hentian Putra.

Shit lah!!! Sri Petaling is just one stop after Bukit Jalil!! =.=

Fine, since we've reached Plaza Rakyat, I suggested to go Petaling Street to have the famous yong toufu but unfortunately, closed on every Monday. Kinda disappointed. So we just tried another stall, the curry mee and meat balls noodles coz we were really hungry.

Not too bad and I like the noodles.

We took komuter to Mid Valley after our lunch. Woots, our first time to take komuter, KTM! Yea, Malaysia train sucks. I'll definately ask my dad for a car if I'm going to study in KL. Lol.

Bought a box of durain pancakes before we took taxi to Bukit Jalil Sport Complex.
Is just RM10 for 6 pieces, there are also selling Mango Pancakes and Cempedak Pancakes.

This one on the other hand has strands of durian flesh in one layer and a freshly lightly whipped cream in another layer, wrapped by a rather tasteless skin. After all the purpose of the skin was to protect the emperor of all fruits and cream from the public like his guards.

Situated at the new walk thru from Midvalley to Gardens, closer to the Midvalley side, just after the Big Apple donuts corner shop.

Well, I’m sure you all can guess where I’ll be heading FIRST thing upon arrival for my next visit to KL. Gosh! Just the mere thought of how good it was can trigger my craving and start me drooling plus-plus… LMAO!!!

Hello everyone!!!! I know there isn't much updates lately, I'm basically enjoying my holiday without doing anything. Have been eating a lot lately, gained weight!!!! And yea, school reopens on next Monday and I hate it. I don't want to go back to Singapore. Daddy, mummy, can I quit school? Just kidding. Lol. =.= I promise myself, I'm going to study and work really hard for my final year, no more fun, and get into uni next year. Wish me luck.

Okay, I don't want to talk more about my Indonesia trip. Maybe next time? I’ll blog more often once I went back to Singapore. Can I just update my blog now with my latest KL trip?

Went shopping with Yvonne at Sunway Pyramid after her lesson and I’m officially broke now.

I just realized we always have so much to buy! There’s too many different types and designs which you couldn’t afford to have it all! Even if you could,you couldn’t afford to wear it all.

I kinda spent rm700 in 4days. *gulp* What! Don’t look at me and go ZOMG! Everything's on SALES!!!

Fusion Haven Cafe & Restaurant.

This place being introduced by the IMU student. It was a cafe and restaurant that served different flavor of food from few countries like Vietnam, Russia, Japan, Korea, western etc. The interior design of the Cafe was not that stylish. It looks kinda blank and normal. But, as claimed, the food served will give the smiles back to you!! Really yummy. Well, I would say the owner of the shop have their unique way of preparing the food. Besides, the combination of ingredients make the flavor taste unique. The decoration of the food itself already an added point!

Mango Lassi, Carrot Milk.

Korean Kimchi Omelette at RM6.90.

Normal but nice. But I don't like the chinese sausage.

I bet she was hungry.

Grilled Spicy Chicken Chop (恶魔风烧鸡佐撒沙酱) at RM11.90. The English name of this dish is common, but not for the Chinese name which I’ve read over and over but couldn’t understand a word. Perhaps someone could explain it to us? Again, it was well-presented, tasted quite good but not too spicy.

My Grilled Smoked Duck Rice at RM 19.90.

The appearance itself already raise ur appetite. The taste is good, special, the duck meat was not oily or greasy at all as it might look so, but it was kind of chewy. The herb fried rice, topped with pasta sauce and baked, never tasted before. Good try.

Warm Hearts Chocolate & Ice Cream at RM 3.90.

There is only 1 choice of the desert. They actually use a special blueberry ice cream in the recipe which makes it more special.

There are a lot more interesting food in the cafe. I hope to visit again soon to try out different things. The price was okay, 10-ish for the dish is not something expensive with that kind of effort. I would pay for it.

Will human destroy world, or world destroy us?!

Why we human being are so selfish? I always thought human being would not be so stupid to destroy the own world, but it seems it’s not like that. Personally I think humans are just full of themselves. Most likely we'll become extinct soon. Certainly we have very little chance competing with how long we are dominant. The dinosaurs will win in that.

Sigh. To know all that is just sickening.
